Jennifer and the children had just come back from the Philippines and my foot had recuperated enough to allow meet move around a little. So we stayed in Devon enjoying each other’s company on my birthday. Jennifer prepared lunch of my favourite salad, avocado, buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes with lots of fried garlic, And the wine cellar next to the courtyard provided bottle of rosé Cremant. But Mikee only toasted me on my birthday end gave the rest of wine in her glass to me (which I didn’t complain about). In the evening we ventured out to a place new to us, Sidmouth Harbour Inn, a Victorian Hotel that got a substantial renovation, changed owners and became substantially more upmarket. A very positive experience. We started with oysters and Prawns and Vegetable tempura, continued with a mixed seafood platter including a very good gravad lax (for a Swede to admit that means it was really good) and Mikee had a Caesar salad and as mains I had a seafood linguini. Seafood all the way through. But Eric had of course his favourite sirloin steak, rare done. The desert and coffee were enjoyed back at the Manor again.

Dinner at "the upper Deck" of Sidmouth Harbour Inn and the views of Sidmouth Bay outside. We adjust finished the oysters and the tempura.
