After Christmas Susanne and Dave went to Australia. One evening I got a telephone call from Dave, and I got worried that something had happened to Susanne as she didn't call her dad herself. Instead Dave asked for my blessing for his planned proposal of marriage to Susanne. I was thrilled of course and on the 17th of January they got engaged. They have now just come home from Australia and I haven't met them yet since the engagement, but will have a dinner with them in London next week.
I take the opportunity here to show a collection of photos that I have of Susanne since I started using a digital camera. The first photos are from 2003 (before that I had film cameras and those negatives are stored away somewhere in the attic). In 2010 Dave McCrudden starts to appear in the photos as well; actually I have hardly a single photo of Susanne without Dave at her side (or the other way around). My picture story finishes with Christmas 2011, but their life story together has just commenced.
