PISTYLL RHAEADR

Pistyll Rhaeadr

Pistyll Rhaeadr is one of the tallest waterfalls in Wales. Cascading 73 metres in three stages and the highest cascade being around 40 metres. Jennifer and I visited it on our journey to Snowdonia (see previous posts) and the images are captured in late January.

The first and tallest cascade of the waterfall
The waterfall has hollowed out the stone and is now passing underneath a stone arch, which I would have love to climb across in my younger days, but very sensibly Jennifer stopped me from trying now
Below Pistyll Rhaeadr the water made its way between moss covered stones and gnarled trees
In between the old trees you can see a glimpse of the majestic waterfall
