Val de Bagnes seen from the Fontenelle hamlet

One day we had a walk from the small hamlet of Fontenelle below Verbier to the chapel of Vernays. The views of the Val de Bagnes dominating the walk as we were high above and looked down into the valley. We could just envisage the river, Dranse de Bagnes, that had been the theme of my previous two posts, as it cut through the valley below.

La Chapelle des Vernays was a tiny but very beautiful chapel situated at the precipice of the mountain looking out over the steep-sided valley below.
