On our travels trough South Wales we just happened to pass Llangorse Lake just before sunset. We came from the hills south of the lake (which is close to Brecon) in the late afternoon and I captured the view in the image below here. The lake can just be seen at the very distance. And as sunset was approaching I got the image below, waiting for the magical moment at the image above.

We stayed overnight not far from Llangorse Lake at a lovely hotel, Peterstone Court, so I decided to go back the next morning for the sunrise, but this time I would climb up on the hills to the east of the lake to catch the sunrise over the lake and the surrounding hills behind. The two images are captured from the same viewpoint, a couple of hundred metres above the lake, and you can see how the sun moves and lights up more and more of the surrounding countryside as the sun rises higher.
