In 2008 we went to New Zealand with Lars and Birgitta. We were invited to the wedding of Mark and Georgina, who both had been part of the crew of Adèle, but we used the opportunity to travel both on the North and South Islands. Jennifer was 5-6 months pregnant with Eric.
We started in Auckland, where we rented a car that took us around the coast up to the northernmost parts of the country and then we returned on the east coast. Then we flew to Queenstown on the Southern island and drove up in the mountains. We took a little helicopter that dropped us off on a glacier and brought us to the Western fjords, where it always rains (they said), but we had clear beautiful skies.
