Aurora Borealis

One night on Iceland everything came together. The sky was clear and after a good dinner we ventured out to meet the Northern Light. And God was with us! The goddesses danced for us draped in shrouds of mainly green but also red and purple. The moon lit up the mountains that formed the backdrop for this spectacle, and all of us fell in awe at what nature offered us. Thor was raising in his chariot swinging his hammer and below the frozen ponds reflected his race and the dance of the goddesses. Even seasoned aurora watchers were stunned by the spectacle that lasted for hours. This was what I had come to Iceland for.

  1. I missed this at our trip to Iceland last September.. but I was happy to be in a warm place like Knightstone Manor this February, when I saw all the ice and snow that Jan-Eric encountered
