Skagsanden

Skagsanden beach looking northeast

Skagsanden beach near Flakstad at sunrise in early February. It was low tide and the beach is very shallow. The retreating water created lovely patterns in the sand and the sky was painted pink by the first sun rays.

Skagsanden beach looking northwest. Small streams of water emptied into the bay
The sun has reached the mountain top. The remaining water when the tide withdrew had frozen during the night and reflected the mountains and the pink sky

Very near Skagsanden is Ramberg and Rambergsstranda. The last images are from Rambergsstranda looking southwest an hour later in the morning. The first image is a wide angle shot with the village of Ramberg just visible in the background and the sun lighting up the mountains behind at Fredsvang and Ytresand (see my post from Ytresand).

The last image is captured with a tele lens and shows a close up of Ramberg and the towering mountains behind. To the right one of the bridges to Fredsvang can be seen.

Ramberg captured from the same viewpoint as the previous image, but with a tele lens focusing on the sunlit mountains in the background
