Visit to Norfolk

At the end of April 2017 we visited Magnus and Claudia in Norfolk. They had got a lovely house just north of Norwich but I had booked a hotel for the Eric, Mikee, Jennifer and me, as I presumed they wouldn’t have much space to host us. The turned out to be wrong, as their house not only was very charming but also very spacious with several guest bedrooms.

One day we had a lovely walk along the north coast. Very flat with sandy beaches. Katie, their dog loved it. And after the walk we had lunch at Holkham Hall, a Palladian country house near the coast.

On Sunday we turned east to the Norfolk Broads with its waterways. The weather was windy and cold, especially the second day, but we had lots of fun, and on the Broads we rented a canoe for the kids to paddle out. And everywhere it was flat.

Walking back from the waterways we found this lovely swan among the trees and an exciting tree that everyone had to climb. Although Jennifer looks a little bit scared having climbed up inside the trunk.
