EARDISLAND CRAFT FAIR

Eardisland church during the Craft Fair will plenty of stalls outside

Every year our little village arranges a Crafts Fair for one day, where local craftsmen and women can exhibit and sell their wares. I counted to at least 50 stalls, some from out village and some exhibitors from nearby in Herefordshire and Wales. It is very popular and get many visitors. I was there, of course, with my camera to catch the event, and this year the sun was shining during the whole day.

Hugh Lowe from our village made the wooden bowls

Inside the church the seats had been removed and replaced by stalls, like the church buildings were used originally. Very positive to see the merger of profane and ecclesiastical into activities uniting the village and surrounding areas. The sun shining through the south windows created a very attractive pattern on the floor.

The sun, shining through the windows, created such nice patterns on the floor, but I had to wait a long time for people to move away, so I could catch it in full!
There were also stalls in the Village Hall. Here Elaine Harper is offering Mexican products with the proceeds going to charity
Back at the church, the aromas from the BBQ led me back to Rebecca and daughter Verity offering a lunch
