The Monaco Yacht Show is a big event in the Superyacht Calendar. I have been a judge at the World Superyacht Awards since 2008 and the Monaco Superyacht show in September is the biggest event with a possibility to see a lot of the new yachts that have been launched recently. For us as judges it is a great source of visiting and judging as well as a big social event. And in 2016/17 I was the chairman of the judges, so I went to the shows in Cannes and Fort Lauderdale apart from this one in Monaco.
It has become a tradition to visit Roquebrun and have a dinner with Andre Hoek who designed Adèle. The view from Roquebrun is spectacular.
This year we were also invited to sail aboard Sybaris, a spectacular yacht owned by one of the judges.
