When Lewis first made the garden in the spring the plants were small and it looked very formal with the four benches and we called it the Italian Garden. But now the plants have shot up and it is more of a jungle and the benches are melting into the landscape. But either side of pathway in the middle, where the round benches are, are two statues of musicians playing their instruments. So I have renamed the garden “The Musicians’ Garden”.
We are all amazed and thankful that the stream is still flowing this dry summer. We have a resident duck with her chicks that like to swim and dive in the little stream. In the images below you can see her swimming and looking after her babies.
